One of the facts that condition the urban development of cities like Bogota is Corruption; this phenomenon has limited growth, not only in physical terms but also in terms of the sustainability of this territory. This is why today, more than ever, various manifestations that question the mentality of people linked to this city in different scenarios are becoming necessary, inviting them to ask themselves and know more about this matter, the veracity of the information they receive and the role played by citizens as active participants in society. This article explores the way in which critical design, through a speculative architecture object, can generate reflections and discussions about the effects of corruption, both in the development of the city and in the performance of professionals associated with the architecture field. The text describes a research through design exercise that contributes to the area of critical design knowledge - with special emphasis on speculative architecture and its role in the creation of cities- and a set of fictions, materialized in artifacts and narratives, which trigger conversations and reflections about corruption among architecture professionals and the community in general, not to dictate solutions to such a complex problem, but to make its impact visible in a context like Bogota.
Resumen
"La corrupción, es uno de los factores que ha condicionado el desarrollo urbano de ciudades como Bogotá. Este fenómeno ha limitado el crecimiento de la ciudad, no sólo en términos físicos sino también en términos de sostenibilidad. Es por esto que hoy mas que nunca, se hacen necesarias diversas manifestaciones tanto culturales como artísticas que cuestionen la mentalidad de las personas en diferentes escenarios, invitándolos a preguntarse, investigar y conocer más acerca de lo que pasa en la ciudad, la veracidad de la información y el rol que tenemos todos como habitantes de la misma. Este trabajo pretende exponer un punto de vista particular acerca de cómo el diseño critico por medio de un objeto de arquitectura especulativa puede generar reflexiones y discusiones acerca de los efectos de la corrupción; tanto en el desarrollo de ciudades como Bogotá como en el desempeño de los profesionales asociados al campo de la arquitectura y el papel que juegan los ciudadanos como participantes activos de la sociedad. El proyecto describe un ejercicio de investigación a través del diseño, en el que por medio de una narrativa y unos objetos se despertó el interés de los profesionales de la arquitectura y la comunidad en general para detonar conversaciones y reflexiones acerca del tema de la corrupción, no para dictaminar la solución a un flagelo tan complejo, sino para hacerlo visible."--Tomado del Formato de Documento de Grado.
