This technical document has been prepared as input for the XXIV Meeting of the Forum of Ministers of the Environment of Latin America and the Caribbean (LAC), to be held in Lima, Peru, in September 2025.
Its purpose is to provide environmental policymakers with a comprehensive overview of the strategic potential of ecological restoration as a means of generating social, economic, and environmental benefits, with a particular emphasis on its link to water security.
